About MWCAC

Mental Wellness Campaign for Anoka County (MWCAC)

The MWCAC was formed in 2004 as part of a Mental Health Strategic Plan by Anoka County that listed one of its three priorities as public education and prevention. Over the course of the next three years, the board members for the MWCAC began to define themselves through public relations work to promote recovery from mental illness. Board members include consumers, family members, business leaders and human service professionals. In 2007, we became a non-profit, 501(C) (3) organization. Our activities are supported through a grant from Anoka County and donations by community members.
